With savory marina sauce or creamy Swedish-style sauce, you can’t go wrong with an excellent meatball. This recipe uses our excellent grass fed beef and pork for super flavorful meatballs.
- 1 lb. CATHIS Pastured, Farm Finished Ground Beef
- 1 lb. CATHIS Ground Pasture-Raised Pork
- 1 cup organic whole grain oats
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 medium green pepper diced
- ½ cup chopped fresh basil
- ½ cup chopped fresh oregano
- 1 tsp. garlic powder or 1 clove fresh garlic minced
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- fresh ground pepper to taste
Heat your oven to 400°F. Line a 13×9-inch pan with foil or a light coat of cooking spray or oil.
Mix oats with vegetables, herbs and spices before adding your farm raised meat, so you can adjust amounts to your taste. You can also add one or two of our farm fresh eggs which will help the meatballs expand and stick together.
Form into evenly sized meatballs.
Bake uncovered until no longer pink in the center (internal temperature of 160º). Usually that’s 18 – 22 minutes for 1 1/2 inch meatballs.
Pair with your favorite sauce and pasta and serve!
